One unusual aspect of the Adirondack Park is that people can actually live
and own property there. There are 2.6 million acres owned by the state of
New York and the remaining 3.4 million acres is private property of one
sort or another which is slightly developed or vulnerable to development.
We found that the Park is a great example of people and wilderness able to
co-exist. There is a great deal of water to keep you busy and at times it was
difficult to decide on which rising trout to cast to. I believe I snapped a
total of 54 pictures that I intend to rotate on the site.
