|Many people look at a Switch rod and assume they can line it with a
conventional line in the proper weight. They find out that this won't even
begin to load a two handed rod. You can do this if the line is rated as a
spey line. This has created much confusion so if you have any questions,
please call or email. We take two hand casting very serious at The
Contented Angler. In fact we made it a two year study. No instant experts
here! It takes a monetary investment and also an emormous investment in
time to make sure we match the rod to the situation you are going to be
using it in.
|These line weights refer to Two Handed Lines or Spey lines. Be careful not to confuse this
with a conventional fly line. We also advise you to let us know whether you intend to
Overhand, Spey, Skagit or Scandi cast these rods.
|For overhead casting we recommend a Teeny LS or Airflo Sniper line that is
rated 2 sizes higher than the rated line size.
