Elk river and Elk Springs resort, West Virginia.
August 23 - 24, 2010
While stream temps in PA. are at critical levels, the Elk
river in W.V. was running a cold 49 degrees and the
flow was perfect. This is a fertile river with good
hatches and rivals the dry fly fishing anywhere. The
private water on the Elk Springs resort property runs
into a 2.0 mile catch and release area, so there is
plenty of fishing within walking distance. I saw trout
here over 20 inches that will provide a thrill for you.
Spacious and clean cabins, a beautiful lodge and a
courteous staff all nestled in the relaxing mountains
of West Virginia is what you will find at Elk Springs
Resort. I never slept better. Wade in HERE to learn
more. There is also a well-stocked fly shop and a
knowledgeable guide on the premises.
The river emerges here after running underground for 6 miles.

West Virginia - Great fishing and great people!
